Mr. Philip Chua was formerly the Chief Executive of American Express Bank Singapore. He was also concurrently the Regional Treasurer and Head of Global Financial Markets.

He also represented American Express Bank worldwide in the American Express International Diversity Council and was the Chairperson of the Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia Regional Flexibility Committee.

The Committee was responsible for driving and promoting flexibility-related initiatives in the region. In addition, Philip was the Founder and Executive Sponsor of the American Express Charity Task Force, which had the mandate to drive and promote organization-wide philanthropic and Good Citizenship initiatives within American Express Singapore.


Philip previously served as a Council Member of the Association of Banks of Singapore. He was also a part time lecturer with the Institute of Banking and Finance.
He is currently a member of the Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel of National Electricity Market of Singapore.

Philip graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (summa cum laude) from the University of Oregon and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.
